The Electronic Delivery consists in the delivery of documents via the Internet, which need a higher lever of protection than those documents physichally sent to the addressee.
One of the main advantages of this kind of delivery is that it is no longer necessary to pick up the physical documents and send it by post.
However, the Regulation does not establish equivalence between certified (qualified) electronic delivery services and certified postal mail as defined in the Postal Directive. Member States remain free to establish this equivalence
at the national level.
